Gold Coast 500 - What a weekend!
Full of highs, lows, and everything in between! The Surfers Paradise street circuit never disappoints it’s such an incredible track to drive on. 🌴
Race 1 Our goal was to keep the car clean and move up some places. This track is such an incredibly hard place to pass cars around, but we managed to move up a couple spots to P19 after starting P21.
Race 2 didn’t exactly start how we wanted, lining up P18 meant we had some serious work to do. Once the lights went out, though, the car came alive. We pushed hard through the field, making up ten spots to cross the line in P8 after some awesome battles through the concrete jungle. Unfortunately, kerb strike penalties dropped us back to P19 in the final results, which definitely stung given how strong our pace was.
Race 3 was all about resetting, staying out of trouble, and getting the car home cleanly. The team made some good setup changes overnight, and we managed to climb a few positions to finish P17. That result put us 15th overall for the round, not quite where we wanted to be, but a solid recovery considering how the weekend started.
Massive thanks to the whole crew for the hard work all weekend especially Marcus for keeping the car dialed in and pushing through the long days in the heat. The effort behind the scenes never goes unnoticed. 🙌🏼
Plenty of positives to take away, a few things to tidy up, and lots of motivation heading into Sandown in a few weeks’ time. We’ll keep our heads down, keep improving, and come back stronger. 💪🏼
