Round 2 - NTI Townsville 500

What a weekend in Townsville.
It definitely wasn't the easiest weekend for us, but there are a lot of positives to take away from it.
We started on the back foot after brake rotor issues in both practice sessions, which meant we lost valuable track time and were chasing the setup a little heading into qualifying. The team did an awesome job turning things around and to come away with P10 in qualifying was a really solid result considering where we started.
Race 1 was fairly straightforward. We finished P12 but just didn't quite have the overall pace to move further forward.
Race 2 was looking promising after a strong start, but contact early in the race sent us to the back of the field. It was frustrating because I felt like we had more to give, but at that point the focus became saving as much tyre as possible and setting ourselves up for Race 3.
Starting Race 3 from P20, we knew we had a big job ahead of us. The car was mega and we were able to work our way through the field, making up ten positions to get into P10. Unfortunately, after running over debris, it punctured a hole in the radiator and the car started overheating with six laps to go. From there it was all about getting the car home, and we managed to cross the line in P11.
Looking back, it's definitely a weekend of what ifs. We had strong pace, especially in the final race, and I think the results could have looked very different without some bad luck. But that's racing.
A massive thank you to the whole Ninety9 Motorsport team, in particular, Josh and Max,
We'll take the positives, learn from the rest, and get ready to have another crack at Queensland Raceway.
And a huge thank you to my sponsors:
